Histamine Digest provides diamine oxidase (DAO), the primary enzyme responsible for degrading histamine within the digestive tract before it is absorbed. This targeted mechanism assists individuals who produce insufficient endogenous DAO and experience symptoms after consuming histamine-rich foods such as aged, fermented or leftover meals.

By acting locally in the small intestine, DAO breaks down food-derived histamine at the point of exposure, supporting gastrointestinal comfort and reducing the post-meal burden on systemic histamine pathways. This formulation is used in structured protocols where histamine intolerance is driven by reduced enzymatic activity rather than immune-mediated food allergy.

Each capsule contains diamine oxidase (DAO) 20,000 HDU; excipients include microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose (vegetarian capsule), sucrose, mannitol, medium-chain triglycerides (from palm kernel oil), and sunflower lecithin.

Adults:

Take 1 capsule no more than 15 minutes before meals containing histamine,

or as prescribed by your healthcare practitioner.

Do not exceed 3 capsules per day.

Vitamins and minerals can only be of assistance if dietary intake is inadequate.
